The Ohio Chautauqua is a unique mixture of education and entertainment, that
will focus on the time When Ohio Was the Western Frontier. In these programs,
you can explore the lives and legacies of those who encountered Ohio in its
infancy and helped shape the state into what it is today. Characters for Ohio
Chautauqua 2012 are naturalist and folk hero Johnny Appleseed, frontier
aristocrat Margaret Blennerhassett, Iroquois leader Chief John Logan, Lewis
& Clark expedition member York, and hero of the Battle of Lake Erie Oliver
Hazard Perry.
